G.I. Senior High School vocal music students participate in District Music Contest

Grand Island Senior High School vocal music students participated in the District Music Contest in Kearney on April 24 and April 25, vocal music director Jesse LaBrie said.

Soloists and ensembles received either a I rating (superior), II rating (excellent), or III rating (good). The high school's Madrigal group and Islander Chamber Singers each received a superior rating (I+).

Soloists who received superior (I) ratings were Schuyler Arnold, Levi Benson, Carsten Bosselman, Hannah Benson, Laura Gregory, Margaret Gregory, Amanda Hill, Allie Holmes, Anna Schuett, Caitlynn Schwehn, and Sarabeth Swift.

Soloists who received excellent (II) ratings were Daylan Fargo, Manuel Medina, Evan Stewart, Colby Roseberry, Maggie Haberman, Katie Manley, Katie Prachell, and Sara Robbins. The Grades 10-12 Ladies Choir also received an excellent (II) rating.
Soloists who received good (III) ratings were Joel Jensen and Trent Keickhafer.
