G.I. Senior High School students selected for All-State Orchestra and All-State Band
Tom Bauer, a sophomore at Grand Island Senior High School, has been selected as an alternate for the Nebraska Music Educators Association All-State Orchestra, said Christa Speed, the high school's orchestra director.
Bauer plays the double bass.
Victoria Bialas, a member of the high school's orchestra, was selected for All-State Band. Bialas plays the harp and is a sophomore.
The All-State Orchestra clinic and All-State Band clinic will occur in Lincoln from Nov. 18 to Nov. 20 during the NMEA annual conference. The All-State Band and All-State Orchestra concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the Lied Center in Lincoln.
