G.I. Senior High School students selected for All-State Chorus
Nine Grand Island Senior High School students have been selected for the Nebraska Music Educators Association All-State Chorus, said Jeff Vyhlidal, a vocal music teacher at the high school.
The students are among 444 people selected for the All-State Chorus. The students, listed alphabetically by grade, are:
*12th Grade: Mitchell Alcorn, bass; Hannah Benson, alto; Daylan Fargo, baritone; Manuel Medina, tenor; Colby Roseberry, tenor; and Sarabeth Swift, soprano.
*11th Grade: Laura Gregory, soprano.
*10th Grade: Joshua Mathews, bass; and Anna Toner, soprano.
Three alternates were also selected from Grand Island Senior High School, Vyhlidal said. They are 11th-graders Luke Friesen (bass) and Sarah Ronne (alto) and sophomore Dylan Holloway (tenor).
The All-State Chorus clinic will occur in Lincoln from Nov. 18 to Nov. 20 during the NMEA annual conference. The All-State Chorus concert will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts in Lincoln.
