G.I. Senior High School Orchestra will present concert on Oct. 12

The Grand Island Senior High Orchestra will kick off its 2010-2011 concert season with performances on Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the Grand Island Senior High Little Theater, 2124 N. Lafayette Ave.

The Philharmonic Orchestra, comprised mainly of freshmen and sophomore string players, will present their concert at 7 p.m. Oct 12. Selections to be performed will include Kingsbridge March, Pizzicato Popcorn, and the fourth movement from Mozart's Symphony No. 15. 

The Camerata Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 12. Selections will include Schubert's Marche Militaire, Hungarian Dance No. 6 by Johannes Brahms, and Psalm and Fugue by Alan Hovhannes. There is no admission charge.
