G.I. Senior High School hosting show choir invitational
Grand Island Senior High School's Islander Invitational Show Choir Competition will be Saturday, Feb. 27, in the high school's auditorium at 2124 N. Lafayette Ave.
Approximately 1,130 students will participate in the event, said Adam Lambert, director of choirs at the high school. There will be 24 groups that perform representing 17 schools. Show choirs from Grand Island Senior High School, Northwest High School, and Grand Island Central Catholic are among the groups that will perform. Because Grand Island Senior High School hosts the event, its show choirs do not compete but give exhibition performances.
Performances will begin at 8 a.m. Feb. 27 and will conclude at 10:15 p.m. Feb. 27. The event is open to the public. The admission charge is $10 per person.

*Grand Island Central Catholic, 8 a.m.
*York, 8:25 a.m.
*Central City: 8:50 a.m.
*Ord, 9:15 a.m.
*Fairbury, 9:40 a.m.
*Chase County, 10:05 a.m.
*Kearney High School women, 10:45 a.m.
*Lincoln East women, 11:10 a.m.
*Millard West, 11:35 a.m.
*Papillion-LaVista South women, noon
*Grand Island Senior High School's Sweet Revelation Show Choir, 12:25 p.m.
*Millard West Prep, 1 p.m.
*Lincoln Southwest Prep, 1:25 p.m.
*Omaha Westside JV, 1:50 p.m.
*Grand Island Northwest JV, 2:15 p.m.
*Kearney, 2:40 p.m.
*Ralston, 3:05 p.m.
*Papillion LaVista South, 3:45 p.m.
*Lincoln East, 4:10 p.m.
*Millard West, 4:35 p.m.
*Grand Island Northwest, 5 p.m.
*Lincoln Northeast, 5:25 p.m.
*Lincoln Southwest, 5:50 p.m.
*Omaha Westside, 6:15 p.m.
*Grand Island Senior High School's Future Image Show Choir, 6:40 p.m.
*Finals at 7:35 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:25 p.m., 8:50 p.m., 9:15 p.m., and 9:40 p.m.
*Grand Island Senior High School's Ultimate Image Show Choir, 9:40 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.
*Awards Presentation, 10:15 p.m.
