G.I. school board leadership vote spurs controversy

The 2010 elections are just a year away.

Grand Island school board member Jane Meidlinger said that was her thought when she asked fellow board members Thursday night to postpone a vote on the 2009 board president for a month.

Meidlinger said she wanted the full board to discuss leadership at its retreat, which will be held later this month.

Despite Meidlinger’s request, Lynn Cronk was re-elected as school board president.  Full Story
