G.I. Public Schools video and publications receive national awards
A video and brochure about Grand Island Senior High School and Grand Island Public Schools' newsletter received awards in the National School Public Relations Association's 2010 Publications and Electronic Media Contest.
The Grand Island Senior High School video and brochure each received an Award of Merit. The school district's newsletter, "The Success Press," received an Award of Honorable Mention.
Carol Bryant is the school district's public relations coordinator. She worked with Idea Bank Marketing and school district staff members to complete the video, brochure, and newsletter. Grand Island Public Schools received more awards than any other Nebraska school district in the contest.
The 11-minute Grand Island Senior High School video features interviews with high school staff members, students, and alumni and parents of high school students. "The Success Press" is published twice a year. The video, brochure, and newsletter can be viewed on the school district's Web site at www.gips.org.
