G.I. Public Schools schedule changed because of Jan. 10 snow day

nterim Superintendent Dr. Harrison Cass has announced that Grand Island Public Schools students will have classes on Monday, April 25, as a makeup day because of the Jan. 10 school cancellation due to snow.

April 25 (the day after Easter) was originally scheduled as a vacation day for students and staff, but students will now have classes on April 25.

April 25 is designated on the 2010-2011 school district calendar as a makeup day for any school day lost due to cancellation. If school has to be canceled again, the next makeup day will be Friday, May 27. As of this time, no school is scheduled on May 27.
