G.I. Public Schools elementary students presenting musical

Grand Island Public Schools elementary students will present the musical "Sunshine, Storms, and Stories: A Nebraska Tall Tale" at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 4, in the Grand Island Senior High Auditorium, 2124 N. Lafayette Ave.

The musical is written and produced by students from the 14 elementary schools in Grand Island Public Schools.

The event is open to the public, and the admission "fee" will be a canned food item that will be donated to the Salvation Army Food Pantry.

Students have done essential work in their committees: history and research, script, scenery, marketing, music composition, choreography, cast, costumes, film/video, and directors. The 99 students have worked together to create a tall tale musical that they hope will entertain the audience.

A video of the musical will be shown at the Grand Theatre, 316 W. Third St., at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 15. There is no admission fee.

Come watch students stretch the truth as they present a wonderful Nebraska tall tale!
