G.I. Public Schools and St. Leo's Catholic Church coordinating coat drive
Grand Island Public Schools and St. Leo's Catholic Church are sponsoring a coat drive.
Last year, more than 900 coats were distributed, said Verna Haberman, outreach coordinator for Grand Island Public Schools.
Coats will be distributed from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at St. Leo's Catholic Church at 2410 S. Blaine St. Coats of all sizes will be available.
People who would like to donate coats may leave them at both Skagway locations, both U SAVE Pharmacy locations, Grand Island Public Schools' Outreach Center at 1306 W. Third St., or St. Leo's Catholic Church.
Referral forms for people who would like to receive coats are available at the Outreach Center and St. Leo's Catholic Church.
