Farewell reception scheduled for G.I. Public Schools superintendent
A farewell reception for Grand Island Public Schools Superintendent Steve Joel will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at Westridge Middle School, 4111 W. 13th St.
After serving as Grand Island Public Schools superintendent for 10 years, Joel will start as superintendent of Lincoln Public Schools on July 1.
The public reception will be in Westridge's cafeteria, and formal comments will begin at 5 p.m. June 10.
