Engleman Elementary School plans graduation, kindergarten orientation

Engleman Elementary School has events planned to celebrate fifth-graders' final year at the school and to welcome incoming kindergarten students, Principal Maureen Oman said.

A graduation ceremony for fifth-grade students will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Westridge Middle Scool at 4111 West 13th Street, she said. The purpose of the event is to honor fifth-graders who will advance to middle school next year.

An orientation for incoming kindergarten students will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at the school. Students will have the opportunity to meet kindergarten teachers and Engleman students and familiarize themselves with the school, Oman said.
