Engleman Elementary School honoring students' father stationed in Iraq

The father of two Engleman Elementary School third-graders who is home on a two-week leave from military duty in Iraq will be honored at an assembly at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the school's gym.

Randy Ames, whose twin sons Garrett and Wyatt Ames attend Engleman, will talk to third-graders about the 14 care packages he received from them during the last school year and what happened to the care packages after they arrived in Iraq, Principal Maureen Oman said.

The event will last approximately 15 minutes at the school at 4360 W. Capital Ave., Oman said.
