Dodge Elementary School students use video games for fitness
Dodge Elementary School students will learn during the week of March 30 that they don't have to be couch potatoes to play video games.
All Dodge P.E. students will be introduced to the Wii gaming console to show them that video games can involve activity rather than just sitting, physical education teacher Ryan Hansen said.
"I want to push parents to get video games where children are active," Hansen said.
Tennis, baseball, golf, and bowling are among the sports that can be played on a Wii system.
Dodge Elementary School acquired the Wiis through a grant from Wal-Mart and funding from the school and the school's Parent-Teacher Organization, Hansen said.
