Chamber to host event tonight for G.I. Senior High top scholars

Students in the top 15 percent of the graduating class from Grand Island Senior High will be honored at an academic recognition banquet sponsored by the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce at 6:30 p.m. Monday, at the Heartland Events Center.

For 29 years, the chamber has hosted a series of annual academic recognition banquets honoring the top-ranked graduating scholars from Grand Island's high schools.

The program emcee for the evening will be Don Dunn, board chairman of the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce.  Full Story
