Book Bonanza offered for Barr Middle School students
Barr Middle School's First Readers' Society is hosting a Book Bonanza for Barr students at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the school's media center.
The event will feature activities, decorations, and food related to characters and events in the book "Peak," said Emmy Fiala, integration specialist at Barr. Also, mountain climber Ken Bruce of Grand Island will be a guest speaker.
The First Readers' Society is comprised of sixth- through eighth-grade students who love to read and enjoy being the first to read many of the books that are new to Barr's media center.
