Crisis Management

Effective schools create a crisis response plan and form a team that can ensure it is implemented.  The Grand Island Public Schools Crisis Response Plan outlines approaches and strategies based on safe schools and safe communities research and guidelines suggested by the Grand Island Police Department, the Hall County Sheriff's Department, the Grand Island Fire Department along with their Emergency Medical Team and the Nebraska State Patrol.

For further information regarding the Grand Island Public Schools Crisis Response Plan, please contact Dan Petsch, District Crisis Manager.  Mr. Petsch can be reached at (308) 385-5900 or dpetsch@gips.org.
